Welcome to Woodrow Wilson
Family and friends, my name is Angela Stockman and I am honored to be the principal of Woodrow Wilson Primary School. We have received the Spotlight Award for the last three years. This is due the dedication of the teaching staff, motivated students, and supportive parents. We focus on teaching and learning in a school climate that: respects each individual, loves kids, work with passion and pride to provide a world class education. We are a Reading First school. Teachers have received extensive training in the delivery of instruction in the area of reading, and student progress is monitored closely to determine the effectiveness of instruction. The math curriculum offers a hands-on investigation which facilitates understanding of fundamental math concepts. Please feel free to either call (672-6571) or stop in if you have a concern or an idea.

Big Success for Summer Library Program 2008
This year the summer library program was a big success. Attendance has tripled since the program began. This year 10% of Woodrow Wilson's population enjoyed crafts, contests, sports on the Wii, and, of course, sharpened their reading skills with some great books! They even enjoyed a production of "The Frog Prince." In all, 47 kids participated and read 687 books! Top boy and girl readers were Adrian Hinton and London Trieu. Thanks to all the staff members who helped make this possible for our students and parents-Mrs. Stockman, Miss Ash, Miss Trefzger, Mrs. Stromberger, Mr. Daczewitz, Mrs. Venzon, Miss Robins, Mrs. Groves, Miss Mazzola, Mrs. Hale, and Mrs. Timke. What a way to get in the game!
